Well, I finished this 5 months ago and am just now posting a photo. I am trying this from my phone so bear with me.
Free slate from era-appropriate home, ~$50 of supplies, and about two half days of work makes for a stylish entry. Much nicer than the astroturf that preceeded it.

Sure Pam! We are going to be posting some pics of the process too. It really was super easy and the tiles were free. As we always say, our budget is as close to free as possible.
Wow! The slate is beautiful! I am inspired. I just starting to bring back the splender of a small 1950's cottage with a pyramidal roof and corner windows. I can't wait to do more to it! Thank you!
