Thanks Gerry! The trim for our house is flat outdoor Premium Plus Behr "Dark as Night" and the wood siding & concrete veneer is "Hidden Peak".

Good luck choosing your paint colors! I recommend putting a swatch on all sides of your house when you get to the color you think you want. Each side looks different throughout the day.

Thera! My sincere apologies. I just found your comment unpublished in my moderation pile. Our front door is Tibetan Orange by Behr. Consumer Reports rated Behr's Premium Plus the best quality exterior paint for the money.

Oh, so sad that someone left a nasty comment! I know that not everyone will agree with everyone we did and that's just fine. But, just talk behind my back, right?

That being said, you look like you had the exact same deal as us with your paint colors. Our builder, Ed Hawkins, had a very narrow palette of colors. I'm just so excited that our original house color was stealth gray with a red door. We are almost finished painting and I've never been so excited. The builders/architects were doing something SO right when they carefully selected our paint colors way back when!

Now, do what I do...reserve the right to delete any nasty comments.

Great post. I have to admit that I've written my share of not-so-loving things about some houses. And... I started losing sleep over it.

I have since gone back and tried to delete as much of the harsh stuff as I can (my "Horrible Real Estate Photos" album on Facebook not included, of course).

Thanks for reminding me that we're all human, we are all doing our best, and that there's more to be gained by supporting and loving each other than there is by tearing each other down.
